Now we have finished our brief survey of China's history. We have learned that originally China understood Shang Ti to be the one true eternal sovereign creator God. We learned that Shang Ti never left Himself without a witness in China. Through facts recorded in the Chinese Classics and through the imperial worship at the Temple of Heaven that witness is powerfully clear to this very day! He did this because He loves you and He wants you to learn how to love and serve Him.

We learned how and why China fell away from worshipping Shang Ti alone and backslid into all kinds of self destructive idolatry, worshipping lesser gods that are not eternal and can't give anyone eternal life nor forgiveness for their sins. Thus China's relationship with Shang Ti was broken. Many are now living without the most important relationship a human being can have: a loving relationship with our Creator and Redeemer.

Because Shang Ti (Tien) is the same God revealed in the Bible I can come to know and love and worship Him. The Bible tells us "this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" (John 17:3; I John 5:20).

We cannot restore our broken relationship with Shang Ti just by knowing this important truth about Shang Ti and Jesus. That would make salvation a strictly intellectual matter. Salvation is about life, real spiritual life, blessed and eternal. The only way to restore our broken relationship with Shang Ti is by accepting Jesus Christ, the true "Tien Tze" (Son of Heaven), as our Savior and Lord. I must surrender my life in obedience to Him as my Sovereign LORD.

We Offer You a Life Changing Opportunity

If you are willing to humble yourself before Shang Ti and acknowledge your own rebellion and ignorance, and accept Jesus Christ's sacrifice for your sins, then you can restore your broken relationship with Shang Ti. You could say a prayer to Him something like this:

"Dear Shang Ti, I understand you to be the Creator of the universe, you are my Heavenly Father, you prepared eternal life for me. I know that I am a sinner, violating your laws and my conscience often. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to be my Savior. I accept His sacrifice on the cross so I can be forgiven of my sins, and You can restore my broken relationship with yourself. I now ask you, Jesus, to come into my heart and cleanse me of all my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so I can understand your Word and receive wisdom and power to live a life pleasing to you. Because you have saved me I know my life no longer belongs to me but to you. I will serve you for the rest of my life. I pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ my LORD. Amen."
